Votes at 16: What about England?

The Youth Citizenship Commission has today launched its final reports on youth citizenship in the UK.

The Government backed commission recommended that the UK government could consider whether the right to decide the voting age for elections to the devolved legislatures and in relevant local government elections should be one for devolved governments. Furthermore, in new polling the Commission found that the majority of young people backed lowering the voting age to 16.
