New briefing paper on children’s rights
Last week, CRAE published the first of six policy briefings as part of the See it, Say it, Change it project focusing on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). It gives an overview of the CRC and explains more about the reporting process – the process by which governments are held to account on their child rights obligations. The briefing is very timely as the UK government will be examined on its CRC obligations at the end of May 2016.
This briefing will be useful for policy-makers, parliamentarians, professionals working with children and children and young people themselves. The subsequent briefings will focus on youth justice, transgender and health care, life in care, and housing and will be co-produced with the project steering group.
